Admiration and Inspiration Day 285/366 I will never forget the day I met Pat Millicano. Universal was opening up a new show to be featured in the Islands of Adventure lagoon. Myself and a few other actors were to provide the host talent for a water ski show that was being put together with an outside vendor. Pat Millicano was the person the company had assigned to work with the actors to develop the show with his company. All of us actors had known each other for years and had a great working relationship. First day of rehearsal Pat introduces himself and says, "Let's just do a read through of the script. Don't worry about acting or thinking too much, let's just hear the words" Cool. So one of the other actors starts the first line and before he can even finish, Pat yells out "JUDAS PRIEST!!!!!! That's how you're gonna do that!?!?!?!"...Silence. We were dumbfounded! Who the f**k was this guy?!? And then, with perfect timing, he let the awkward silence hang just enough before saying..."I'm just fucking with ya!"...And that was the start of a beautiful friendship with one of the funniest directors I have ever had the pleasure of working with. It would be years later, this time in LA where I would get to work with Pat again, this time with his company, Action Horizons. Still, many years later I can remember that summer of 2007, it was one of the most fun experiences of my career working with Pat and that says something about this man, his talent and the type of manager he is. #admiration #inspiration
